Part time Qualified Accountant Required
We are a progressive small firm of Chartered Accountants looking for a qualified accountant with experience of preparing limited company accounts and tax returns.
The successful candidate will have to be capable of stepping into the role with the minimum amount of initial training. The role has been created in order to free up the Partner’s time so that practice improvement projects can be developed and implemented. The portfolio of clients will be very varied – Limited Companies, Sole traders, partnerships and personal tax clients. The businesses are all owner-managed but vary in size and industry type. The portfolio could be quite large so someone with good time management skills is imperative as well as meeting the budget. Previous use of Iris would be an advantage, as would able and thorough understanding working knowledge of Microsoft excel 2010. The position requires multi-disciplinary knowledge – statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax return preparation, P11Ds and self assessment return preparation to name a few.
We are looking for someone to work on a freelance basis at the beginning – starting with 2-3 days per week - and we are flexible on hours worked. There is scope for the role (responsibilities and number of hours / days) to expand over time, subject to your performance. Candidates must be available to start immediately and looking for a part time role.
Marketing Coordinator / Business Development Executive Part time; 2-3 days per week, Tuesday - Thursday. Immediate start for the right candidate.
Working on behalf of an Accountancy Practice as a Marketing Coordinator / Business Development Executive you will be required to:
• Develop and maintain the database of potential and prospective clients • Arrange appointments with potential clients, on average 3 per week; • Build effective relationships with potential clients by the use of direct mail and telesales. • Execute a wide variety of tasks that involve email broadcast campaigns, public relations, customer communications, media advertisements, promotions and social networking; • Write and maintain content and provide monthly updates for the company website; • Assist in writing and publishing of press releases and monthly newsletters to the clients; • Identify and implement specific, cost effective opportunities to marketing and advertising campaigns.
Requirements:
• Motivated and target oriented individual; • Well-organised and thorough, even under pressure; • Excellent communication and computer skills; • Social networking experience; • Superior written and spoken communication skills in English.
You do not need to have previous sales experience in order to be considered for this role. More importanly you must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in achieving targets within a fast-paced environment.
